KMB owner Jen Lloyd bouldering in Fontainebleau, France

That’s me, bouldering in France!

I’ve loved to sew since I was a kid. At the end of a decade of vegetable farming it was time to change gears, so combining sewing with my passion for rock climbing was a natural fit. It’s fun to be able to provide a splash of personality to climbers’ kits with the prints that I choose for the face of my bags. My workshop is in my off-grid, solar powered home in the woods of central Vermont.

When I’m not sewing (or shopping for fabric and supplies, bookkeeping, designing my website, marketing, etc — small business owners know what I’m talking about!) you can find me outside doing all the fun sports that we have access to here in New England. Most often I’ll be sport climbing in Rumney, NH or developing routes in Marshfield, VT with my husband, Zach.

I’ve tried many base fabrics over the years and have now sourced the best light-weight, durable, high-quality materials and components to make a bag that lasts for many seasons, opens easily, and closes securely. I maintain a large selection of prints so there’s something for almost everyone, or I can special order fabric if I don’t have one that fits what you have in mind. I’m always hunting for new, attractive prints (shoutout to surface design artists!) so check back often!
